You may want to review it online, but it's essentially a matter of right-hand clicking on the game icon, clicking the 'compatability' tab and setting it. Reboot, and try again! :)

Try what worked for me; run it in Compatability Mode for an older version, in my case 8/8.1.

Right clicked on the game icon on the desktop, selected the Compatability tab, and set it for Win 8. Applied it, rebooted the PC and ran it without further issue!

So I connected with EA through their customer service chat feature and he recommended that I set my game using Compatability Mode; I set it back to Windows 8 and now it's working great! What a simple solution!

Hmmmm that's an interesting thought; I did just buy a new mouse from them. I will uninstall their software and try this...
