What a fantastic month of nonstop ALGS action it’s been as we wrapped up the Apex Legends Global Series last weekend with an incredible Championship. With your help, we were able to award more than USD $2,500,000 to the best Apex Legends teams globally, more than doubling the original franchise-record prize pool of USD $1 million.
With a record-breaking season that included strong tournament participation and viewership, and now more than 100 million total unique Apex Legends players, the future of Apex Legends esports shines bright.
We can’t wait to share our plans for the next iteration of the ALGS with you, but for now, from all of us at the ALGS, thank you for your support!
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR ALGS CHAMPIONS
The ALGS Championship Trophy
We’d like to extend a massive congratulations to our five regional ALGS Champions - Bottom 20 (Kungarna NA) (North America), SCARZ Europe (EMEA), WOLFPACK ARCTIC (APAC South), FENNEL Korea (APAC North), and Paradox Esports (South America).
After battling online since January 2020 in an attempt to qualify for the ALGS Championships and compete for the largest prize pool in Apex Legends history, these five teams made it through the highly competitive Championship Group Stage, which featured 170 teams competing globally. Following the Group Stage, they prevailed over the remaining teams in their respective regions, finishing first in their 20-team Match Point Finals lobbies.
In addition to our ALGS Championship teams, we’d be remiss if we didn’t also congratulate our official ALGS MVPs Powered by Monster Energy, Brendan "Onmuu" Pode and Can “Taisheen” Öztürk, in North America and EMEA respectively - congratulations legends!
