TL;DR

• Starting January 25, teams will compete in the first Online Tournament of the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS).
• Register now at Battlefy.
• Each team member must be at least Gold IV in Ranked Series 2 to participate.
• Check-in on Battlefly in the hour prior to tournament start time.
• Matches are in the new Tournament Mode and require a Join Match code for each match.

Hey Apex Legends™ competitors! With the first Online Tournament fast approaching on January 25, we’re sure you’re dying to drop into the Arena. We’re here to arm you with all the info you need to make it happen.

Registration is Live

Registration is now open to register for the first Online Tournament. Registration closes on 12:00 PM PT on Thursday, January 23, 2020.

Check to make sure you meet the eligibility requirements listed in the Official Rules including the Rank Requirement.

Rank Requirement

All players (on all teams) in the Online Tournament must register with an EA account on which they’ve obtained the rank of Gold IV or better in Ranked Leagues Series 2 on the PC platform by 2:00 PM Pacific time on Thursday, January 23, 2020.

Process

Sign-up

Sign up for the tournament on Battlefy here. Be sure to have all of the players on your team signed up and added to your team’s roster on Battlefy.

Register

The Team Captain registers the team for the tournament on Battlefy.

Accept the Rules

Each player on the team is required to accept the Official Rules of the tournament as part of the registration process.

Check-in

Each player must check in to the tournament to which they registered to confirm their participation. Check-in is available starting one (1) hour prior to the scheduled start time of the tournament. If a player on a team doesn’t check-in, their team won’t be added to the bracket and will not be in the tournament.

How to Join

The tournament will utilize the new Tournament Mode; here’s how to join a tournament match.

        1.    Game Lobby
                a.    Start up Apex Legends as normal.

        2.    Select a Game Mode
                a.    The new Tournament Mode icon will be available to the right of the featured modes.

        3.    Tournament Participant Code
                a.    Before each match, get your team’s Join Match code from the Compete tab on the Battlefy Tournament page.
                b.    Enter the Join Match code to join the match.

        4.    Match Results

                Battlefy Tournament Officials will record all results from each match and report them into the Tournament.

We are excited to announce that due to the number of teams that have signed up for the ALGS in North America and Europe, this Online Tournament will have as many as 640 teams from each of these regions, double the number of teams that we expected.  Thank you to all the teams that signed up for a chance to battle it out in the Arena to earn their place at the first ALGS Major in March.

Tune-In

The Finals for North America and Europe will be held on Monday, January 27, and will be broadcast live at playapex.com/algs. Each player who reaches the Finals will be emailed a schedule and information. Be sure to tune in to see the top teams in North America and Europe battle it out for a guaranteed spot in the first ALGS Major in March!
