Apex Legends Global Series Split 1 Playoffs Announcements

Hello ALGS Fans,

The Apex Legends Global Series Split 1 Playoffs kicked off on January 15 as 100 teams across five regions compete for a collective $1M USD prize pool.  A huge Congratulations to Team Singularity and DreamFire who won the Playoffs for South America and APAC South this past weekend. 

As we head into this weekend’s Playoffs, we have a couple of very exciting announcements that we wanted to share with you. Read on to find out more:

The Split 1 Playoffs for EMEA and NA will debut the Multiview feature, giving viewers on twitch.tv/playapex exponentially greater control over how they consume ALGS matches. You will now have the option to watch the ALGS on two to four split-screen windows using the Command Center functionality on Twitch. The tool lets you watch the action from multiple viewpoints, so you'll be able to choose which teams and players to watch and listen to their in-game audio. 

Experience everything, from the drop, to looting, every strategic rotation, every clean wipe, every clutch play, every kill, and every final circle through the eyes of the players you choose to watch. This is the ALGS like you've never seen it before.

Twitch Drops return! First debuting in last year’s Winter Circuit Playoffs, the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs for NA, APAC North and EMEA will feature cosmetic items viewers can earn simply by watching the best teams from these regions compete on Twitch.

You’re all set to earn the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs Twitch Drops if your account was linked last season. For those eager to start earning the cosmetic items, please follow these account connecting steps:

1. Make sure your platform account is linked to your EA Account.
2. Create or sign in to your Twitch account and connect it to your EA Account.
3. Watch the Apex Legends stream on Twitch to earn your Drops.
4. Claim your Twitch Drops from your inventory when they’re available.

Twitch Drop Earning Thresholds 

• 1 Cumulative Hour Watched of the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs: The Rare ‘ALGS Playoffs '21’ Holospray
• 2 Cumulative Hours Watched of the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs: The Rare ‘Scarlet Scale’ Prowler skin 
• 3 Cumulative Hours Watched of the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs: The Rare ‘Singularity’ Bloodhound skin
• 4 Cumulative Hours Watched of the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs: The Epic ‘Champions Cup’ Gun Charm
