Year 3 Championship: Everything You Need to Know

It all comes down to this. The Apex Legends™ Global Series Championship will round out Year 3 of our competitive Apex Legends season and crown a new World Champion. Thousands of teams from around the world have competed this year, but only 40 of the World’s best will join us in Birmingham, UK at the Resorts World Arena from September 6-10.

Those tuning in from home will be able to catch the live stream on official Apex Legends Esports channels: Twitch, YouTube, and Steam. You can also catch the action through our watch parties and multi-language broadcasts, which are detailed below.
ALGS CHAMPS FAQ
How much do tickets cost; are they single-day tickets, or good for the entire weekend?
Single-day and 5-day tickets are available. Visit TicketFactory for pricing and details.
Is seating assigned or GA?
Tickets are either General Admission or Premium View GA; seats are not assigned.
Where is the Resorts World Arena?
Resorts World Arena is located next to The NEC Birmingham at Resorts World Arena, Perimeter Rd, Birmingham B40 1NT.
How do I get to Resorts World Arena?
Resorts World Arena is easily accessible by car or public transportation. Please see more on the Resorts World Arena website.
To get to the Resorts World Arena from London Heathrow, we suggest traveling via train to Birmingham International Railway Station via the London Euston station.
What is the bag policy?
A Clear Bag Policy will be in effect for this event.
- Clear bags or clear back packs must not exceed 12” tall x 12” wide x 6” deep.
- No hardware or decor is allowed to conceal the bag. The bag must be a transparent purse, clear tote…all clear.
- One gallon clear ziplock bags may also be used.
- Clutch-sized purses are also acceptable. They will not exceed 1” in thickness. Clutches are not required to be clear.
Can I bring a banner to the event?
Event attendees are allowed to bring in banners; however, we ask that you be mindful of the size as they cannot take away from the viewing experience of other attendees.
Please Note: EA and Resorts World Arena have the right to ask attendees to remove banners that do not follow the posted terms of entry.
Are there any age restrictions for this event?
Those under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult aged 18+ with a valid ticket.
Do I get a discount on Insomnia the Gaming Festival tickets?
Yes. ALGS ticket holders will receive 20% off on Insomnia the Gaming Festival tickets. Discount codes will be sent via email.
WHAT TO EXPECT
One of our goals from event to event is to consistently improve our on-site fan experience. The Alliance and DarkZero merch booths brought the heat to Playoffs, so we’re working to bring in even more Team merch booths for Champs.
Those joining us in Birmingham can expect Official Community meet & greets, daily giveaways (including a Championship water bottle to the first 1,000 fans on Friday), limited-edition Championship merch, Partner activations and so much more!
For those that can’t make it to Birmingham, you’ll still have an opportunity to earn ALGS items in-game through our Twitch Drops, which will be revealed closer to the event.

These are the 40-teams that have qualified for the ALGS Championship:
COMPETITION FORMAT
The ALGS Championship will span 5 days of competition.
40 teams will play 18 matches each throughout the Group Stage on September 6th and 7th. Placement in the Group Stage will determine which teams fall in the Winners Bracket and Elimination Bracket.
The Bracket Stage on September 8th and 9th will determine which 20 teams join us on September 10th for the Match Point Finals, where we will crown our ALGS World Champion.

Championship teams are competing for their share of the $2,000,000 USD prize pool. The prize distribution is as follows:
