ALGS Split 1 Playoffs: Dates + Venue Announce

We’re excited to share that the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) Year 4 Split 1 Playoffs will be landing in sunny Los Angeles at the iconic Galen Center! Taking place from May 2nd to May 5th, 2024, the Split 1 Playoffs will feature four action-packed days of elite Apex gameplay, a community area featuring meet-and-greets with your favorite pros, and so much more!

SPLIT 1 PLAYOFFS COMPETITION FORMAT
The Split 1 Playoffs will utilize our familiar Group Stage to Double-Elimination bracket competition format. In the Group Stage, the 40 participating teams will be seeded into four groups of ten teams each, and each group will play a single six-match series against every other group.
Following the Group Stage, all teams will be assigned a starting position in the bracket stage’s double-elimination bracket based on their Group Stage Total Match Score and each bracket stage round will consist of a single six-match series.
The top 20 teams from the bracket stage will then advance to the Match Point Finals.
In the Match Point format, once a team reaches fifty (50) points in this round, they will become Match Point Eligible. The first Match Point Eligible Team to win a match (by placing first) after reaching the Match Point Threshold of fifty (50) points will be declared the winner.

NOTE: Group Stage matchups will be announced in late-March, shortly after the Regional Finals have concluded in each Pro League region.
SPLIT 1 PLAYOFFS PRIZING
Split 1 Playoffs teams are competing for their share of the $1,000,000 USD prize pool and valuable Playoff Points to help them qualify for the year-end ALGS Championship. The prize money will be distributed amongst the top 20 teams as follows:
