Tips and Tricks: Town Center Free-roam Region
Get tips on defeating the bosses of Town Center and more in PvZ: Battle for Neighborville.
Welcome to Neighborville’s Town Center! In Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville™, free-roam regions are areas you can explore alone or with up to three friends. Embark on missions, battle enemies, search for golden gnomes, take on challenging boss battles, and more. Each one has a ton of fun stuff to do, so squad up and get growing!
The Town Center free-roam region contains both plant and zombie story modes and includes three main areas: Sundrop Hills, Up-Down-Uptown, and Pressure Pier. To access Town Center, talk to Vivian on the plants’ side of Neighborville, or Dr. Nurse Doctor on the zombie side.
Boss Battle: Olds Cool
Watch out – this zombie boss is ready to boogie. If any of Olds Cool’s missiles hit you you’ll start to dance, which prevents you from being able to jump or dodge attacks. And you thought dancing was supposed to be fun! Avoid his missiles or shoot them out of the air so they miss their target.
Boss Battle: Blight Cap
This plant boss has been spreading more spores around Neighborville, creating an “un-zombie” infection. You’ll need to arm the Stink Bomb with garbage to take out this funky fungi. Where can you find garbage? Giant trash bins, of course! Raid those bins to set off the Stink Bomb.
General Tips:
- One of Town Center’s plant quests is to dress a lawn mower like a zombie and try to fool Olds Cool’s bouncers into letting it into the club. But, did you know that once you have the lawn mower, you can use it to vanquish enemies? Launch new lawn mowers from control boxes and buzz some zombie foes!
- In Town Center, plants and zombies have their own quests. But, they share chests and gnomes! If you find them in one area, you don’t have to find them in the other. Win-win.
- Want to earn PvZ: Battle for Neighborville Game Director, Rob Davidson’s favorite medal? Hike with Mike to the top of the mountain!
- If you get to Town Center and don’t know what to do, talk to the area’s plants or zombies and they should be able to point you in the right direction. Complete all of the challenges to unlock new areas to explore!
- Each region has valuable chests and gnomes to discover. Can’t find them? Locate Sergeant Peel on the plant side, or Otto Do on the zombie side, who can sell you a map with their locations. Just go into your map, tag the chest or gnome you’re looking for, and a compass will appear to guide you there.
