Lavaback
Ecology
Ask a group of hunters what their most feared Kemono would be, and the answers will be many and varied. But ask what the most odious Kemono would be, and the response will be almost unanimous: the Jigokuzaru, or lavaback. Its cunning, its dexterous use of its volcanic body, and the way it sometimes seems to sneer at humankind have all earned it that grim reputation.
Strategy
Sending molten rock flying into the air over a wide area, and using its far-reaching arms for rapid pummeling, the lavaback causes a lot of anguish by mixing long- and short-range attacks. There are warning signs where the ground is about to erupt, however, so with careful observation, you should be able to dodge out of the way. Another useful tactic could be bolstering your elemental resilience, for example by conjuring an elemental lantern.
