- Tell us about yourself!
I’m Clau NYSims (read New York Sims), I’m Brazilian but I consider myself a citizen of the world. Playing The Sims FreePlay was love at first sight. I started playing in 2015 and I’ve never been able to stop. NYSims is the affectionate nickname I received from friends because of my love for the New York City, and my Sims Town has the New York spirit, all the buildings are real locations in the city or from movies set in the city. Just like the city that never sleeps, mine is constantly renewing, so always expect new things.
- What type of Sims creator are you?
Buildings, Love Stories and More – My content is very varied, videos with tips about the game, buildings tutorials (theaters, subways, museums, tourist attractions and everything that we have in a big city), and absolutely everything else. My content also revolves around my love stories. My love stories talk about destiny, chance, and of course love! They are original, written by me, and always inspired by song lyrics.
- What do you think is special about FreePlay?
Everything about The Sims FreePlay is special, the ease of playing anywhere because it’s a game for mobile devices, and at the same time having complex features that only a PC game would have, that’s incredible. Being able to make my imagination soar in my free time, and even to distract myself in a waiting room. And the FreePlay community is a show in itself, meeting and talking to people from all over the world certainly makes this game even more special.
- What is your favorite thing to do when you jump into the game?
The game for me is so perfect that even this simple question is difficult to answer, because I love building and decorating, and this is a wonderful pastime that I dedicate hours to without feeling it. But at the same time, for me the game is about of the Sims, the city’s residents, so my favorite activity is to use my imagination creating stories and situations with them.
I remember the first time my Sim had a baby in the game, I watched her sit and caress the baby for hours.
- Do you have a favorite location, event, quest or hobby you’ve loved the most over the years?
The Christmas missions are certainly my favorites, full of meaning and special details, and without a doubt the last one with the New York lot had an even greater meaning for me.
- If you had one piece of advice for players that have just started, or are early to mid-level 30, what would it be?
Don’t rush, do the missions at your own pace, look for help on the networks and in the Simmer community, which is huge and always ready to help. But above all, have fun in the process, because that’s what this game is made for, to have fun.
- Finally, if you could add anything to the game, what would it be?
I would really like to have the game angle where the Teasers are filmed, that would be incredible, and it would make a huge difference for me as a series producer.

My name is Ricardo, I'm 19 years old and I'm Brazilian, I've been playing The Sims FreePlay for 8 years.
- What type of Sims creator are you?
I'm a Simmer Photographer, I love taking pictures of my Sims in different environments, I focus on trying my best to capture their expressions.
- What do you think is special about FreePlay?
What makes it special is that we can be who we are, and there will be no judgment; I also like that the game gives us many possibilities for construction, decoration, and beautiful environments.
- What is your favorite thing to do when you jump into the game?
My favorite activity is being able to photograph my Sims and show a little of their life.
- Do you have a favorite location, event, quest or hobby you’ve loved the most over the years?
My favorite place is the Midtown cafe. I love the colors, the atmosphere, it's a very beautiful place.
- If you had one piece of advice for players that have just started, or are early to mid-level 30, what would it be?
For beginners and intermediate-level players, my advice is to simply have fun without worrying about being perfect. Enjoy every moment with your Sims and immerse yourself in the stories you create. Trust your intuition and let your imagination fly freely, because it is in the imperfections that the best adventures arise.
- Finally, if you could add anything to the game, what would it be?
I would love to see the team add new camera angles to the game, I and many players have been waiting for this since the launch of AR.

I’m David, I also go by as Ginge in the Sims world! I’m originally from London but now enjoying life in Leicester. I’m a massive Doctor Who fan and I share my life with my two beautiful children (my cats) Charlie and Simba whom I love dearly!
- What type of Sims creator are you?
I tend to bounce around with what sort of The Sims gameplay / creating I get up too. Depends what mood I’m in. I enjoy playing brand new events, covering the new events so Simmers can learn stuff. I enjoy the gameplay and new features, in my younger years I was more of a builder, but now days I’m more of a storyteller in my personal games.
- What do you think is special about FreePlay?
I think FreePlay is a special game to me as I’ve played it since launch. For a mobile game, it packs a punch and has so many features for new players and old!
- What is your favorite thing to do when you jump into the game?
I tend to check in with my Sims, then start grinding down on the new events, grabbing whatever free stuff I can get my hands on!
- Do you have a favorite location, event, quest or hobby you’ve loved the most over the years?
It’s no secret but my favourite thing I’ve loved from the game is the Katy Perry content that came out all those years back! Also the Care Bears update was a highlight!
- If you had one piece of advice for players that have just started, or are early to mid-level 30, what would it be?
Take your game and enjoy the game, events come and go but they do come back! Just enjoy the slow haul
- Finally, if you could add anything to the game, what would it be?
A 'Doctor Who' collaboration! I think lots of Simmers would enjoy having their own tardis hanging around in Simtown!

- Tell us about yourself!
My name is Dan, otherwise known as BeyondSims in the Simming community! I am currently based in Manchester, UK after moving here during the pandemic from elsewhere in the UK.
I have been playing The Sims since around 2001/2002 when I discovered the original game in our computer cabinet alongside SimCity 3000 - so a family member must have purchased it! I’ve been a fan ever since I met Bob and Bettie Newbie and removed my first pool ladder to watch the chaos unfold.
I first started playing The Sims FreePlay when it launched in 2011, as I was a fan of the mobile Sims 3 games prior to launch. Though, it was only in 2015/2016 that I started playing more regularly and covering the content on my website. It’s been great to see how much the game has grown and continues to with every update.
- What type of Sims creator are you?
I used to love making machinima and video content years ago! I’d find myself re-creating my favourite TV shows and making my own “episodes” using The Sims as my stage. Though, these days I am more of a generalist dabbling with build mode and live mode, trying to push the boundaries of the game and seeing what situations my Sims can find themselves in.
I typically create written blog content such as news posts, reviews, tutorials, interviews and other useful resources on my website, BeyondSims.com! It’s so fun being able to do this and also manage all of the behind the scenes technical things too! I also occasionally create YouTube content and also host a regular podcast with Rachybop called the Llama Drama Podcast.
I’d like to think players enjoy the authenticity, depth and honesty of my content. With reviews, for example, I am always following what the community is interested in, and try to think of things from the player's perspective with what they’ll want to know. If I love something I’ll shout to the rooftops - likewise, if something could be better I’ll be mentioning it too.
- What do you think is special about FreePlay?
One of the special things about The Sims FreePlay is how it continues to evolve with each and every update in such a positive way. I’ve not known many games - let alone a mobile game - continue to be able to do this 11+ years after launch and surprise us. AR mode back in 2018 is an excellent example of this and one of the latest updates with the new faces for Sims is a great example of this - I’m always excited to see what’s coming next!
A fun memory I have of The Sims FreePlay was at SimsCamp in 2018, where myself and Rachybop were a part of the livestream for the game to show off AR Mode! We had so much fun attempting to build an AR house in real time! It was such a unique experience doing something like this on air and I’m so proud of how it came out, and that we were able to demo this awesome feature!
- What is your favorite thing to do when you jump into the game?
I typically like to check in on all of my Sims who are performing quests to make sure they can be pushed along to the next step, but if any Sims are idle then they’ll be sent straight off to work! No time for them to rest! I really enjoy following my Sims to work in The Sims FreePlay and helping them complete tasks throughout the day.
If there’s a live event, then all of my Sims will be sent off to these dedicated lots I have for completing the events and they won’t see daylight for 10 days!
- Do you have a favorite location, event, quest or hobby you’ve loved the most over the years?
I think my favourite quests have to be the Holiday ones every year! I love the storylines behind them and how detailed they are. I am always in a festive mood and ready to celebrate Christmas after completing it. But, if I had to pick one, it was probably the Snow Problem Quest from 2017.
- If you had one piece of advice for players that have just started, or are early to mid-level 30, what would it be?
My best advice would be to try and gradually grow the number of Sims you have available in your town as you level up. This means you’ll have enough to regularly send to work to bring in simoleons, and also to complete any live events or quests that you’re working on. I found it a lot easier to balance all of these as my town continued to grow on my personal game.
Also, don’t be afraid to use the randomise button with Create a Sim too! I’ve created so many fun personalities in my game from letting the game create a name and style, and they’re some of my favourite Sims!
- Finally, if you could add anything to the game, what would it be?
This may be leaning on my prior machinima interests, but I would love a dedicated cameraman mode in the game so that I could take pictures or videos from any angle and up close! I always get envious when I see the trailers for updates with the shots the team is able to get.
I think this could really unlock a lot of great content creation with The Sims FreePlay that isn’t currently possible.

I currently live in the South of Brazil, in Santa Catarina, I'm 32, and I work as Social Media Manager for a local company. I still create content about the Sims universe, because that's my passion and I'm the happiest when I play, record videos, livestream, and all that!

- What kind of Sims creator are you?
- My playstyle is as a decorator and I also make gameplay videos creating stories for my Sims, advancing their lives and creating narratives for the characters.
- What do you feel is special in FreePlay?
- Creating without limits, thinking of different stories I could go through myself, and living my own past in a light and fun way.
- What is your favorite thing to do when you first login to the game?
- I really like changing how my Sims look, changing their outfits based on the occasion, and also decorating the houses in a more realistic way.
- Do you have a favorite place, event, mission or hobby that you enjoyed the most?
- I love the hair events, they are always coming back, which gives you the chance to get infinite items in-game.

- Sul Sul! My creator name is Catharina Sophia and I live in Europe. I started playing both The Sims Freeplay and The Sims when they were first released. I stopped playing the Sims Freeplay after the launch of the Death Update, but after some time I picked up the game again and I haven’t stopped playing since.
- What type of Sims creator are you?
- I’m mostly a Create A Sim or build person, however I love writing back stories about my Sims.
- What do you think is special about FreePlay?
- For me, the Sims Freeplay is mostly about sharing my stuff with others. My most valued memory about the game is the reply I got from the community when I got into the Creator Network. Folks were so enthusiastic and loving - they literally gave me happy tears.
- What is your favorite thing to do when you jump into the game?
- I always start with collecting my resources and starting event actions. Then I work towards the impossible goal I’ve had for a long time: creating a Super Sim Town. It feels impossible, but I love a good challenge.
- Do you have a favorite location, event, quest or hobby you’ve loved the most over the years?
- My most favorite location must be the Snow Park, simply because I love how it looks. The ‘Oh So Ombre’ Hair Hobby Event is one of my favorite events, as I love how different the hairs are from the ones we’d already got.
- If you had one piece of advice for players that have just started, or are early to mid-level 30, what would it be?
- If you’re still working on the Discovery Quests and Main Quests always check if there’s tasks you can start early or if there’s tasks that take shorter if you use a Sim with a different life stage (https://sfp.perturbee.net, https://thegirlwhogames.blog/ were my most used websites). Make sure to only start a discovery quest if you’re certain you have the time and required amount of Simoleons. And as advice for everyone: ask for help if you get stuck and don’t be afraid to tag me if you create something you think I might enjoy.
- Finally, if you could add anything to the game, what would it be?
- I’d love a more ‘oldish’ world in the Sims Freeplay. We have a modern Downtown, Suburban Simtown, natural Mysterious Island, yet no European inspired world. And imagine the little bridges, the bricky downtown and the pebble roads: that’d be absolutely wonderful in my opinion.

- Tell us about yourself!
- I am located in the US, specifically California but no sadly not near a beach. I’ve been playing Sims since the early days when my sister introduced it to me and we shared an account on her small iPod touch.
- What type of Sims creator are you?
- My content revolves around sharing info on prizes and where to find them. Before becoming a creator I saw the struggle of users looking for items in their inventory after events and I wanted to help. Although I am not able to post as consistently as I’d like, I make efforts in creating my content for the new events as often as possible.
- What do you think is special about FreePlay?
- A fun memory I have is I used to share an account with my sister when we first discovered the game. It was a new experience for us and we enjoyed the simple life of sims. After a while of playing I got my own small iPod and save file which is the same game file I use to this day.
- What is your favorite thing to do when you jump into the game?
- My favorite thing to do in sims is creating builds or decorating homes. It’s usually what I spend my free time in when I get the chance. I also try my best on the events and see what happens.
- Do you have a favorite location, event, quest or hobby you’ve loved the most over the years?
- My favorite events are anything that gives flowers, gardens etc. anything that helps decorate my homes.
- If you had one piece of advice for players that have just started, or are early to mid-level 30, what would it be?
- This game is here for us to have fun. We have time constraints but please don’t lose sleep over the game, what is there will come back eventually in a rerun.
- Finally, if you could add anything to the game, what would it be?
- If I could add anything into the game it would be quite a few things honestly! I’d love a marketplace where we can share items with people by selling them or even just sending a gift to a friend! I’d also like the maternity store and the mall to house more items, once you buy everything it’s boring and useless. Having new items like old maternity events or quest items available would make these locations meaningful again.

- Tell us a bit about yourself!
I'm 27 years old, I'm Brazilian, I love to dance and take pictures. I've been playing TheSimsFreePlay for over three years, I downloaded the game when I was unemployed, it was a passion I spent many hours a day playing. I play the game every day and I'm always present on social networks. Today I have a job, but in my free time at work I always use it to play the game, there's no way Freeplay is my passion.
- What type of Sims creator are you?
A very blogger creator I would say, the one who loves it when a new interaction arrives and soon wants to test and take pictures. Who loves filling social networks with photos of the sims and is always in the trend of the moment creating reels.
- What do you think is special about FreePlay?
The ability he has to provide me with creating sims, giving me a job, a house with good furniture, a good relationship and even children. It's really nice to be able to visit a neighbor and interact with him. Creating makes me disconnect from things that weren't good in my day and that makes freeplay very special.
- What's your favorite thing to do when you log in?
Whenever I enter the game, I immediately see my main sims, I try to wear a nice outfit and put them all together to do some activity. Taking care of them is what I love most. And now I'm venturing into decorating so I'm having a lot of fun getting to know even more all the items we have in the store.
- If you had one piece of advice for players who are just starting out or are further in at level 30, what would it be?
Fall in love with your Sims, complete all the missions and events so you don't lose the prizes and always try to explore everything in the game so you'll never get bored.
- Finally, if you could add one thing to the game, what would it be?
Well, several things come to mind: for starters, a higher limit of Sims on a lot, more options for construction mode, making it possible to use more than one accessory and also being able to use makeup and tattoos. I will also let pregnant sims do other interactions.

- Tell us a bit about yourself!
I come from France, and I have been a big fan of the Sims right from the start (Sims 1 on PC). I own the complete collection of extensions and I download everything I can get my hands on to improve my town, my Sims and their houses.
I jumped straight to SFP because I got addicted to my iPad and no longer had a desktop computer!
That’s why I joined Bouckie in the UniverSims to share my knowledge of the game and tips with other players so they could optimize their quests.
Now that the UniverSims is celebrating its 20-year anniversary, I’m celebrating 10 years of working alongside Bouckie on the website along with other plays such as Jill, Orange-Addict and Jocondes.
- What type of Sims creator are you?
I love creating themed houses with matching decor and costumes (Halloween houses, Latino houses, pirate ships, royal houses, nurseries for children, etc.)
On social media, I enjoy illustrating current events with my Sims and creating montages.
- According to you, what is so special about Sims FreePlay?
You can play anywhere, anytime and, if needed, fast.
- What is your favorite aspect of playing?
Building and (re)decorating.
- Do you have a special place, event, quest or hobby that you particularly enjoyed over the years?
I loved all the upgrades related to decor and Halloween and Christmas costumes.
- If you were to give some advice to any new gamers out there, or ones that haven’t yet reached level 30, what would it be?
Manage your time and your Sims properly by calculating what is the most profitable.
We have created a complete guide on the UniverSims with tips and advice on how to get started.
- If you could add something to the game, what would it be?
I’d like to be able to change the colors of an object, and have access to more themed costumes and objects.

Questions:
- Tell us about yourself!
- I’m from Colombia, I currently live in Mexico, and I’ve been playing The Sims Freeplay for approximately ten years.
- What type of The Sims creator person do you think you are?
- I’m Simmer Architect and house designer. I like to create content making tours and showing house design plans to inspire players to build their own. I love reading stories in Augmented Reality, and what players like most from my content is that the most relevant information about The Sims Freeplay is available in Spanish.
- Why do you think The Sims Freeplay is special?
- It’s special because it opens up your imagination and enhances your creativity. The craziest and funniest memory is when you shake your device, and the sims get dizzy and throw up.
- What do you like doing most in the game?
- When I play, I like building and decorating.
- Do you have any favorite task, quest, hobby or location after all these years?
- I actually have many favorite tasks, they all have their own magic; like the content of Perfect Loft, and the mariachis and Mexican culture in Valentine’s 2022 quest.
- If you had any advice for players who are starting out or have just reached level 30, what would it be?
- Quests no one should miss are the ones offered by Bree, like the one of the mezzanine, patios, balconies and basement; as well as the quest of the L-shaped rooms. No one should miss these as they make the game so much fun, building special structures. For those just starting out in the game, I’d advise them to save money to buy designer houses because they’re really nice and some contain exclusive objects from past quests.
- Finally, if you could add something else to the game, what would it be?
- I’d love to have a voice chat or a multiplayer mode to interact live with other players. I’d also like a lateral view of the houses (even if it’s just ornamental).

- Sul sul! My name’s Rachael, I live in Yorkshire, Uk and I’ve been playing The Sims and The Sims Freeplay since the beginning!
- What type of Sims creator are you?
- I am a storyteller I think more than anything, although I do like to build from time to time. I like to make informative videos to help fellow simmers and update schedules so players can plan out their time in the game and get excited for what’s coming. I love how the community has embraced my gaming channel and know to come to me when they need to know what’s coming when.
- What do you think is special about FreePlay?
- I’ve been making videos about The Sims Freeplay even before YouTube allowed you to show gaming footage. It was great how, even then, I found fellow players who I could share my fun game experiences with - like shaking your phone until the Sim throws up!
- What is your favorite thing to do when you jump into the game?
- Collecting all my money and xp haha, but really just seeing if I’ve unlocked anything knew and how I can progress to the next thing. The Simdex was a gamechanger, I love being able to see what I can unlock next.
- Do you have a favorite location, event, quest or hobby you’ve loved the most over the years?
- The Christmas quests are great every year. The stories are magnificent. I’m always being taught new words along the way too, it’s an education.
- If you had one piece of advice for players that have just started, or are early to mid-level 30, what would it be?
- Reference the simdex! It’s your best friend. (Oh and TheGirlWhoGames.blog)
- Finally, if you could add anything to the game, what would it be?
- A search bar into build mode. The filters are great but a search bar would be next level!

Questions:
- Tell us about yourself!
I’m from Colombia and have been living in Norway for several years now. I started playing The Sims FreePlay in 2019 when I joined the Firemonkeys Game Changers program, but I love all the games from The Sims. I’m a casual player and progress quite slowly, while enjoying the wide variety of tasks offered by The Sims FreePlay.
- What type of The Sims creator person do you think you are?
What I like doing most is creating guides for players. For example, the schedules I make for every update, using different colors and decoration that fit into the update’s main topic.
For me, it’s important to provide bilingual content, that’s why I try to create content both in my native language, Spanish, and in my second language, English.
- Why do you think The Sims FreePlay is special?
The Sims FreePlay is a 10-year-old game and it keeps evolving. I still haven’t explored every quest, hobby and content available in the game. It’s a game that has been developed with great care and with players in mind. You can tell the time developers spend on each and every detail, in tutorials, and in the way they always try to implement new quests.
- What do you like doing most in the game?
What I like most is creating characters. I love changing their features and looks to express their personality, preferences and professions. Then, I can create spaces, rooms and houses where they’ll live.
- Do you have any favorite task, quest, hobby or location after all these years?
Every update has a special topic and tasks with different rewards. What I’ve liked most have been long-hair tasks, because they provide new hairdos for our Sims.
I also really enjoyed the topic of the Mysterious Masquerade update. I loved those luxurious period clothes and hairdos.
- If you had any advice for players who are starting out or have just reached level 30, what would it be?
My advice for new players would be to get to know the Sims Index. When I first started playing The Sims FreePlay, I was a bit confused by so many quests appearing, one after the other, non-stop. A while later they released the Sims Index, which has really helped me understand and follow the quests’ progress, while unlocking places, hobbies, etc.
- Finally, if you could add something new to the game, what would it be?
I’d love to be able to manually control the day-night cycle. More often than not, I only find time to play at night and it’s always dark. It’d also be useful as we’d be able to decide if we wanted daylight, sunrise, night or sunset, which would give our photos a more natural look.

- I’m Charlotte and I live in England. I've been playing The Sims FreePlay since 2012 and I started my blog in 2013 to help players get the most out of the game!
- What type of Sims creator are you?
- I would like to say I do a bit of everything! I started with quest walkthroughs and other helpful tips on my blog but have also branched out into house tour videos on YouTube.
- What do you think is special about FreePlay?
- What amazed me about FreePlay from the very start is that most free mobile games are very limited in what they allow you to do but Freeplay is different. You don’t need to spend any money to enjoy or access great features like pools and balconies!
- What is your favorite thing to do when you jump into the game?
- I really love building, especially after an update when there are loads of new events with new items to unlock!
- Do you have a favorite location, event, quest or hobby you’ve loved the most over the years?
- The Tropical Romance Island is one of my favourite locations in The Sims FreePlay- your sims can enjoy a romantic serenade, get married or even swim like mermaids here!
- If you had one piece of advice for players that have just started, or are early to mid-level 30, what would it be?
- Good time management is key for this game, most quests and events have timers to unlock time limited prizes. Check out the quest posts on my blog to see what goals are coming up to keep you on track to win!
- Finally, if you could add anything to the game, what would it be?
- I would love a swatch filter system for Create A Sim and Build Mode, many items are the same but in different colours so it would be great to just see one of each and then be able to choose the colour we want. Less time scrolling is more time playing!
