Weapons of Dead Space

Learn more about the repurposed (and upgradeable) tools you'll need to stand a chance against the Necromorphs.

PLASMA CUTTER

This compact cutter fires bolts of ionized plasma that cut easily through most surfaces, making it a cheap but versatile mining tool. It can be readily modified, though some upgrades may cause the plasma to become unstable and ignite surfaces on contact.

PULSE RIFLE

A standard-issue ballistic firearm for P.C.S.I and CEC security forces, which can be loaded with grenades or proximity mines for riot conditions, or personalized for faster reloading.

RIPPER

These high-velocity saw blades cut through rock faces or extract samples with ease. Operators are warned against losing control of the blades, as ricochets can cause lethal damage.

LINE GUN

Though similar to the Plasma Cutter, the Line Gun is a larger model suitable for use against harder minerals. It can also deploy laser-targeting survey charges. Operators should notify those around them to avoid charges being set off prematurely.

FLAMETHROWER

A hydrazine torch typically used for precision mining or prospecting on frozen worlds. The nozzle can also spray a “wall” of flame to clear large patches of ice quickly. Does not operate in vacuum.

CONTACT BEAM

This beam uses targeted but incredibly powerful energy projections to quickly break down hard surfaces and expose valuable deposits. The beam can be charged to target larger areas.

FORCE GUN

A kinetic booster device, often used for quickly clearing loose debris or breaking up larger ore deposits. However, due to the graviton acceleration functions, overclocking can cause a dangerous gravitational reaction, causing debris and nearby operators to be pulled in.

Humanity Ends Here

Prepare to uncover the mystery aboard the USG Ishimura starting January 27, 2023.
