Fighters regain some amount of Maximum Stamina between rounds dependent on their Cardio attribute.

Whiffing on a punch or kick will cause your total Stamina to drain. Always make sure you are in range when throwing a strike. Throwing multiple strikes out of range will cause your Stamina to deplete very quickly and can sometimes cost you the fight.

The lower your Current Stamina is when you take an action, the more Maximum Stamina such an action will cost. Attacks performed at low Current Stamina also deal less damage. However, a combo will maintain the permanent cost and the damage accordingly to the Stamina value of when the combo started! Try to recover your full Current Stamina in-between your combos, for maximum efficiency.

Why do I lose Stamina so fast?


Land strikes to the body to drain your opponent&#39;s Body Health. When fully drained your opponent will suffer a body knockdown. Body Health can recover during the fight and between rounds but at a slower rate than Head Health.

Leg Damage recovers the slowest of all damage types. Hitting your opponeng with Leg Kicks can easily cause a Leg Health Event once enough kicks are landed, but don&#39;t overuse Leg Kicks as it is also very easy to Check a Leg Kick (See Striking Defense - Checking Leg Kicks).

Leg Damage


Damage will recover automatically to a threshold at a pace which is affected by your Recovery attribute. The threshold is affected by the amount of health events or damage your fighter has sustained. If this threshold is very low, your fighter is susceptible to being KO&#39;d or TKO&#39;d.

Fighters will regain Stamina when in an inactive state. This means you recover the most Stamina when standing still or when you have distance between yourself and your opponent.

If Block Damage starts racking up, use head movement or create distance to avoid some of the strikes thrown at you. This will also create opportunities to catch your opponent in a vulnerable position to counter-strike.

Land strikes to the head to drain your opponent&#39;s Head Health. When fully drained your opponent will be knocked down. The damage you inflict on that final blow, relative to how much health your opponent has left will determine the severity of the knockdown. Head Health recovers automatically when your fighter can avoid head strikes.

Each Head Health event will make future health events more likely and more severe. If you get rocked multiple times on your feet, it might be wise to switch up your gameplan away from striking.

Your Maximum Stamina is represented by a light gray bar behind your Current Stamina bar. Every action you take will drain your Current Stamina, and it can only recover as much as your Maximum Stamina, so keeping your Maximum Stamina from shrinking too much is important.

## Damage Icons

Damage Icons represent multiple types of injuries, such as cuts and swelling, as well as health events and damage from submissions. Each damage type is represented with icons which appear in the Health and Stamina HUD.
## Vision Penalty

**Vision Penalty Icon**

Icon appears when a cut or swelling facial injury occurs on left or right brow/forehead or eye/cheek. This increases damage intake on the side the damage is located while this penalty is active. These penalties can stack and are lifted if there is no damage to the relevant location for 30 seconds, or at the start of a new round.
## Breathing Penalty

**Breathing Penalty Icon**

Icon appears when receiving facial injuries to the nose or mouth. This damage will decrease the current stamina recovery, while the penalty is active. These penalties can stack and are lifted if there is no damage to the relevant location for 30 seconds, or at the start of a new round.
## Cut Injury

**Doctor Stoppage Icon**

These result from the occurrence of any facial injury, except mouth, which can’t lead to stoppages. The more red the icon becomes, the closer a doctor is to stopping the fight.
## Stun Icons

**Head Stun Icon**

Appear as the result of any health event to the head.

**Body Stun Icon**

Appear as the result of any health event to the body.

**Leg Stun** **Icon**

Appear as the result of any health event to the leg.
## Health Icons

**Heart Icon**

This icon is meant to help signal a loss in max stamina, due to a deep choke.

**Arm Health Icon**

This icon is meant to help signal a loss in max block health, due to a deep arm submission.

**Leg Health Icon**

Deep Leg Locks affect permanent leg health and count as a health event.

Block Damage accumulates the more strikes you block in a row. Blocking multiple frontal strikes will leave you open to round strikes and vice-versa. The reduction in Block strength is controlled by your Blocking attribute.
